Why You Shouldn't Just "Follow the Masses"
The great Earl Nightingale once said, "The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it is conformity.”
Conformity is just doing what everyone else is doing. You are just following the masses.
Doing what they say.
Doing what they do.
Not thinking for yourself.
It takes courage to stop and think about doing things that might be better for yourself and others around you.
If you are struggling with making decisions, there are 4 questions that you can ask yourself:
Do I want to have, be or do this?
Will doing, having or being this move me into the direction of my goals?
Is doing, having or being this in alignment with God's laws and the laws of the Universe?
Will doing, having or being this violate the rights of others?
If the answer to the first three questions is yes and the answer to #4 is no, then make the decision. Make it happen. Get out there and do it!
I challenge you to get outside of the masses and think for yourself. We have to stop just reacting to things around us. We get emotional. We become reactionary and animalistic instead of stopping and thinking.
Then, you can sift through your thoughts and know how to respond in a positive way. You can develop a plan that is going to beneficial to you and to others to make positive change.
See you on the court!
